The ASCOTRONICS Group was formed in October 2015 following the merger of ANNECY ELECTRONIQUE and ASCOREL, which were founded in 1973 and 1988 respectively. The group now employs around 100 people.
As part of the expansion of ASCOREL, based in Pont-Évêque, we are currently seeking new talent. ASCOREL employs around sixty highly qualified staff.

In this context, we are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer & Technical Lead for a product.
Role and responsibilities:
Within the ASCOREL design office, which comprises around twenty engineers and technicians, you will report to the Head of the division.
You will be involved in developing sophisticated technical solutions tailored to machinery such as fire service ladders and construction machinery.
Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for the client for whom you are developing solutions (weekly discussions and on-site visits several days per quarter)
- Participate in the design, development and testing of software for our embedded systems
- Ensure the technical consistency of the developments carried out and their alignment with the client’s expectations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the integration of our systems
- Contribute to the resolution of technical issues and regularly take part in machine testing
- Produce detailed technical documentation, ensuring clear understanding and traceability of the developments carried out
Education:
You hold a five-year post-A-level qualification from an engineering school or equivalent, specialising in computer science, electronics or mechatronics.
Required skills:
- Knowledge of C/C++, Qt, Python, etc.
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS)
- Knowledge of communication networks (CAN, Ethernet, etc.)
- Knowledge of V-model or Agile development methodologies, as well as continuous integration tools
- Familiarity with hardware aspects (reading circuit diagrams, using test tools, etc.)
- Ability to read, speak and write technical English
Professional experience:
At least 5 years’ professional experience in embedded software development is desirable.

Contract type:
Permanent contract – Executive grade
Remuneration:
Gross annual salary range (full-time over 12 months): between €40,000 and €50,000, depending on experience and profile
